Michelle Guelden

Michelle Guelden is the Principal Engineer - Technology Innovation with Ergon Energy. Her current role involves research and development of new technologies as network and non-network options for power provision and energy storage. Her background includes managing the Ergon Energy business unit involved in designing, installing and maintaining of on and off grid renewable energy options. She has designed many stand alone hybrid power systems and grid connect systems incorporating photovoltaics, wind turbines and hydro turbines. She has also over the last 18 years worked in energy management, demand management, energy efficiency consulting, building services design and power line design.

Sarah Neill

Susan Neill is the Technical Services Manager (Power) with Conergy Pty. Ltd.   Before taking this position in 2005, she was the Managing Director of Quirk’s Energy Today, a company with a long history in renewable energy products – design, manufacturing and distribution.  

She is currently a member of the Advisory Board for the PV Centre of Excellence at the Australian National University, Canberra;   currently a member of  Australian Photovoltaic Association (APVA);  currently a member of the PV directorate of the Clean Energy Council of Australia (formerly Business Council for Sustainable Energy).

Past Appointments include Member – Expert Panel, within the Australian Federal Government’s Renewable Energy Commercialisation Programme (1997); and National President – Solar Energy Industries Association of Australia (SEIAA) (1995-1997).

She has worked as an industry representative for the solar industry since 1990 and was a founding director of the industry amalgamation of SEIAA and SEICA.

Fiona O'Hehir

Fiona O’Hehir has 20 years experience in renewable energy and associated industry sectors. With her expertise in power electronics and power conversion she has worked with government agencies and private industry to deliver a range of industry development projects and services. She has been a longstanding board member of the BCSE and its amalgamation with Auswind to become the Clean Energy Council. For the last six years she has been running her own business, which is now the largest independent trader of environmental credits in Australia.

She has worked in government energy agencies, private companies and the university on energy related matters since 1980, with a strong focus on renewable energy research, development, technologies, deployment and policies.

She is the Australian representative on the Executive Committee of the International Energy Agency Photovoltaics Power Systems Programme (PVPS) and Chair of the Australian PV Association. Past appointments include Chair of the Australian and New Zealand Solar Energy Society (2003) and Chair of the Policy Group for the Australian CRC for Renewable.

 

Dana Hughes

Dana is the Government Relations & PR Manager with German solar giant, Conergy and has over 10 years experience in the renewable energy industry.

Prior to joining Conergy in August 2007, Dana worked at a senior level within Cap-Aus and was responsible for developing and implementing the marketing, branding & promotional campaigns and strategic PR plans for the business, both locally and internationally.  She also liaised with government representatives across varied solar thermal initiatives.

Prior to joining Cap-Aus Dana was with Solahart Industries in the position of Marketing Manager, responsible for strategic marketing, promotional campaigns, product launches, sponsorship and event management, both internationally and nationwide.

As Government Relations & PR Manager for Conergy, Dana provides strategic advice on current Government (Renewable Energy) policy in Australia across all levels of government.  Whilst providing government with industry updates and perspectives on policy and how it effects the marketplace.  Dana also develops and manages Conergy’s strategic public relations & media campaigns in Australia, in accordance with Germany’s corporate guidelines.

Her renewable energy experience covers various renewable energy technologies including solar thermal, solar PV, small wind and large scale wind projects.

Muriel Watt

Muriel Watt is a Project Manager with IT Power Australia. Prior to this she was a Senior Lecturer, School of Photovoltaics and Renewable Energy Engineering, University of NSW, a role she retains on a part-time basis. She has worked in government energy agencies, private companies and the university on energy related matters since 1980, with a strong focus on renewable energy research, development, technologies, deployment and policies.

She is the Australian representative on the Executive Committee of the International Energy Agency Photovoltaics Power Systems Programme (PVPS) and Chair of the Australian PV Association. Past appointments include Chair of the Australian and New Zealand Solar Energy Society (2003) and Chair of the Policy Group for the Australian CRC for Renewable Energy (ACRE) (1999-2004).
