WSEE is a not for profit organisation which will provide a platform for women working in the sustainable energy and the broader environmental sectors. The association ill provide networking opportunities, capacity building and mentoring their career development. Our members practice in diverse areas such as energy, management, technology development, law, finance, marketing, architecture and the broader environmental sector.

We welcome those with the common interest of promoting women in these evolving and exciting industries.

We plan to provide a leadership platform offering:

•    Networking opportunities
•    Capacity building and professional development
•    Mentoring and leadership development
•    Technology & project support

Some areas that W-SEE plans to develop:
•    A directory of member businesses & skills
•    Determine specific member needs and expectations
•    Special projects including networking events, both personal and over the IP network

Our primary purpose is to offer eager and innovative participants within the Sustainable Energy sector and the broader Environmental field, an opportunity to get together exchange ideas and fundamentally promote the role of women in a professional capacity. We anticipate that the core of Women Sustainable Energy and Environment will be its diverse membership that produces a vast pool of talent never before mustered in Australia. 

The WSEE Foundation Committee convened on July 9th 2008 via teleconference and devised an action plan for the remainder of 2008, which is to include an Official Launch for the organisation. This will be open to all financial Members, and is planned for November of this year.

We have prioritised our energies into the development of an interactive website, in order to provide a medium by which you can share, communicate, suggest and work with other professionals within the sector. 

Other long terms goals will ultimately be determined by our members, so we are currently designing a WSEE Members Survey.
